Ramune Virgin - Shakara's first time

Here's Shakara with her first attempt to open a Ramune drink. She was a little nervous at first - not knowing if the soda was going to explode or what. Props to her for going through with it even though she was scared-ed. lol.

Ramune is a carbonated soda drink sold in Japan. The bottle is made of glass and the mouth of the uniquely design bottle is sealed with a marble stopper. A tool that is packaged with the bottle is needed to "pop" the marble seal to release the soda. Once the marble has been pushed into the neck of the bottle, it rattles around while drinking. It's funny to watch people try to open the bottle for the first time. It's even funnier to see them dribble soda out of the corners of their mouth because the marble makes it a little tricky to drink.

Ramune is popular with gamers, cos-players, asiaphiles (is that even a word?). You can find these drinks at asian specialty stores, downtown chinatown, comic book conventions. I found the drinks at a farmer's market in the middle of the mojave desert of all places.

wow i just had my first one today, i love it i got it from a world market in north carolina, i really hope i can find one again
