What's fucked up is how the guards actually believe what they're doing isn't torture, or that the detainees aren't "imprisoned" or "interrogated". The double standards are disgusting. When another country does this, they're terrorists and get invaded by the US. When the US does it, it's counterterrorism and it's for your own good. Whether or not these people are innocent or guilty (majority are innocent), this is illegal under international law. They deserve the right to a fair trial.

Only people that cannot possible know the truth have tried to say that half of them are innocent, doesnt make it true. I am not stating any facts or opinions. @DjJayOfficial How do you know that half of them are innocent? Didn't know you where the arrestor or prosecuter to where you would know the facts of each and everyone of these cases. Face it, you have no clue if they are innocent or guilty, they were captured in a war and are more then likely guilty. Come back when you have some facts.

Just because someone from their countries feels it's justified to strap a dynamite vest to a 12 year old doesn't mean we have to step down to their level, I understand when there comes a point where you have to fight fire with fire. But, totally out of line with the constitution in multiple ways... And just bringing about a further bad name for our country.... Not even going into the racial aspect of it.

They absolutley have the right to a fair trial, no questions asked... However, if you turn the tables, and someone from our country ends up in a prison in the middle east, what would the deal be? I believe that is the main motive behind that; but that's my own opinion. It's a right anybody has that is being held in the prison systems of the United States, regardless of the situation, and in absolutley no situation should that be denied. As far as the torture goes, beyond unacceptable.
