@patmanretro One solution is to build a computer system, that keeps track of available resources and what things people want and need. Each person is given what he needs most. The economy gets stronger the harder people work for it. Also the system puts more weight on things that consume nature most, so you get less items that are not sustainable and more those that are. Ultimately sustainable system is ofc sustainable. Currently humankind consumes more than nature produces, so we need to adjust

@patmanretro I found resource based economy from Zeitgeist Movement 's ideologies (google it...) RBE means that we get rid of money altogether and just use and manage resources. The value of a thing is the thing itself, you don't reap artificial profits from it. People start thinking more realistically and start to conserve resources. In the end resources are what we have and are running out of, money is just an illusion anyway. Local money is option too, but we'd still need to manage resources.

That kid's laughter is infectious, and I want one of those kitties!

my youngest daughter is forever looking at animal vids here, she will LOVE this!
-
I fostered kittens and yep... it's great. What a sweet video.
-
the kid commentary is just as fun as the kittens

If laughter is indeed the best medicine listening to your daughter's laughter must be the extra strength dose. It definitely adds to the video's cuteness levels. ^_^
I noticed the kittens are kept in a big cage, why is that?
And this video slightly altered my opinion on children... for the better ;) Your little girl is so cute!

@madelineschannel My neighbor (with the kittens) is often a foster home for stray litters of kittens. The large enclosure (in her small house) is for everyone's benefit, so that she can continue to stay sane enough to take litter after litter. The kitties who come to her place are SO fortunate, because they get socialized like crazy by all of us in the cohousing community.

Not that I'm expecting or demanding anything (it's a privilege to watch your vids, not something I am owed) but whatever happened to that list of controversial topics? I was kinda lookin forward to it. :\

@Bobbiethejean and others: Doing the serious stuff has taken a real toll on my health and my family. Still intend to pursue it, but I've got to mix some rehab in there (like kittens, and chemistry explosions). I've got some ungodly perfectionism issues which the last couple years have exacerbated, which is why the videos on "well thought out" (i.e. attempted bulletproof) controversial opinions are slower in coming than I'd hoped. I'll give what I can, but most goes to my family these days.
