(Sacramento) -- Assembly Republicans are protecting the wealthy, yacht-owners from paying taxes on their expensive boats. Assembly Budget Committee Chairman John Laird (D-Santa Cruz) chastised the Assembly Republicans during the floor debate over a bill to eliminate a tax loophole big enough to float a yacht through, saying, "As we cut education and medical care, it is unconscionable to let yacht owners off the hook for playing a role in fixing our state budget problem." Here more from Assemblymember Laird in his own words in this Assembly Access video...
Leave it up to the Republicans (now controlled by Tea Party Rep's.
...we will have a 2 class society.....the VERY wealthy and the VERY poor. Those bastards are willing to put our economy, the stock market and the Country on a very steep precipice just to make Obama look bad! SCREW YOU BASTARD POLITICIANS, FOR ONCE, JUST ONCE....DO WHAT IS GOOD FOR THE COUNTRY! Remove the tax loopholes JUST FOR THE WEALTHY & TAX THEM THEIR FAIR SHARE. Nothing left to take from the middle class.
