I miss my Nitro, it's for sale by the guy I sold it to and I might get it back. I don't think he has the money to put into it, just like I didn't when I sold it. I do now though. The guys in the mid west like Bill Stull can help anyone restore any Rupp.

@kenneykole Been out on 250 nitro now. Man that thing haul really quick. Im surprised!
45hp@8,300rpm. That alot for 250!

These motors were designed from the old Chaparral SSX ones. Rupp changed the porting, pistons, rods, heads, cranks, carbs, timing and lots of other other things to almost double the HP in them. Then they added the sleeved down 250 as well. I had a 440 and might take it back yet, very fast stock sled for it's time and very good looking one too!

Is this 250 moves really quick, or it okay?? Because I never drove on a small engine. I alway have been on from 400 - 800cc engine.lol. Maybe 250 for better gas??

four strokes can spin fast too (indy cars) two stroke model car engines can spin alotttt faster.

Is that high for an old one? My Sno Pro did 9 and my car does 8200

Nope, original. Sold it about 3 months ago. Hate to see it go but I have too many. It ended up in good hands

Nice Sled! Nice Condition!
I have two 1973 Rupp Nitro 650 in Mint Condition.
Have fun using your sled in winter time!
That engine can go really high RPM!
If you have 2 cycle engine and it can go to 15,000 Max Rpm.
If 4 cycle engine and it spin up to 8,000-10,000.

Sled looks great!
Nope, right where the Xenoah motors run, 8300. If you do the pipe mod from the Rupp manual you can turn it 9000rpm. I sold the sled but it has a really good home. Working on the 75 F/A 44 now.
