I've sometimes thought that...we're really just one big consciousness, and the whole universe is just waiting for us to wake up...like when you lay on say your leg and it becomes asleep, then you wave it around so it wakes up...that's what we're like, like one of the cells in a numb leg

Incredibly good timing for me viewing this video. I was just skimming through an psychology textbook in the section about physiological bases of perceptions, and I remembered (because I'd had them before) the same realizations that you had about being inside your head. I had an idea for an art project to just show someone's profile, and superimpose on that a ruler or tape measure goin from the front of their head to the back: amazement that it's all going on in between there and there.
