  • Sublime! Is Gigliola Frazzoni the soprano?

5 stars, of course, and I cannot imagine who'd underrated this beautiful rendition by giving it 3 (or less) stars.:/

  • Yes, it is, Gigliona Frazzoni. A performance in Amsterdam 54 ,where he also sang a colossal Trovador.

  • Wonderfully sung

  • Simply astonishing! The utter despair with which Lauri-Volpi sings the phrase: "E' vero, è ver!" makes me shiver and remains unequalled for its expressiveness in all the history of recorded voice. Just like his unparalleled: "Non è ver, no! Sogno, delirio, è questo" in the Nile duet. By the way, a far better sounding version of this duet was published by PONTO PO-1023. Many thanks to sera 1959 for all she's doing on Lauri-Volpi's behalf. It's a wonderful work!

  • Volpi and Gigli sound very much alike because of the common school de l`E! The good vocal school work wonders!

  • the pleasure is all mine! I can hear the devine school de l`E! He IS magnificent!

  • Wonderful
