This is the first part of Vivian's and my fantastic love story. It started in Chile 1972 and the last part of the video was taken a few days before the military coup on 11 September. The last scenes are with Rodrigo, Vivian's son; Peter and Patric my sons.
Harald Edelstam, the Swedish Ambassador opened up the Swedish Embassy for political refugees and as a consequence other European countries followed suit. A movie about Edelstam was released in September 2007. - "The Black Pimpernel".
Vivian opted to leave Chile and via the French Embassy she finally arrived in the Netherlands a few weeks after the coup.
We met again in 1997.

  • 1973, a sad year for Chile. Nice song.

  • @AnEnemy100 The song is by Violeta Parra a famous Chilean singer. She committed suicide. "Gracias a la vida" is probably her most famous song - Thanks to Life ...
