Pls watch it in hight quality
My target making a facial set up for my character that allows me real time feedback on the 3ds max viewport. I´m using Mental Ray SSS Fast Skin shader and Mental Ray shader doesn´t support morph material so I´m lookin for the best way to solucionate this. Bear in mind it´s a work in progress and it´s a topic that is not in any text book I know so if any of you can help me

    please give me the steps to make displacement work with sss (3D displacement (3dsmax))

  • @endocomar93 This is Displacement modifier 'cause it mr SSS doesn't seem allow 3d displacement (3dsmax)

  • I'm trying to figure out how to make animated displacement with 3dsmax like in your video.

    I've tryed using "morph material" but like you say, it doesn't works with mental ray.

    So, have you been able to make it work?

    It seems to work in your video when background goes black.. Isn't it?

    Please tell me your trick/settings for your setup!

    I love your animated displacement trick! I once tried to do it in 3ds max using normal maps but couldn't do it..

    Could you pls PM me your way of doing it?

  • I really don't mean to be a bother, but I too would like to know how you did it.

    I am in a similar spot.

    I am doing my first 'big' animation and I am using 3Dsmax2009 with finalRender (use to use mentalRay, was bad)
