So...after waiting 2 hours over @ the Chester road crossing in Mission and seeing I decided to go back to Abbotsford. and boy did it pay off 4 trains in less than an hour. anyway this is the meet of A CN Mixed freight Lead by ES44DC 2260, BC Rail C44-9CW 2450, C40-8CM 2447, SD75I 5789 and and a CP intermodel lead by Sd40-2 5713 and GP38AC 3002. (Sorry abut cutting the Intermodel short but all it did was slow down and that made the video take over the allotted 10 minutes plus I ran out of memory card space and had to keep deleting videos so the whole train would be broken into about 5 or 6 small videos also my movie maker won't save movies anymore)

  • Nice touch catching the signal change!

  • @BArailsystem Thank you

  • interesting, i wasn't aware that CN and CP shared any track... is this an exception or are there other examples of shared track between the two?

  • @records26 nooooooo........ CN and CP share track basically every peace of track from Kamloops west. They have Directional running from Kamloops to mission (westbound CN and CP trains on CP Cascade Sub Eastbounds on the CN Yale Sub). as in this Video CP uses the CN Yale and Rawlison subs tracks to get From the Page Sub in Langley to the Mission sub in Abbotsford. Also CN has Trains that Originate in the CP Coquitlam Yard and CP trains that Originate in the CN Thornton Yard.

  • @records26 Also CN has a CP operated yard in Downtown Vancouver. And you might catch CP grain and coal trains heading to the north shore along CN trackage

  • great video! nice meet!

  • what kind of horn is that

  • amazing train meet!!

  • @wheels069 that's really interesting. i'm from ontario, and along the corridor its quite an interesting trackside experience... CN and CP's separate mainlines generally stay within a kilometre of each other in most of southern ontario, so the trick is to position yourself on a farmer's road in between the two, where they are only separated by 100ft or so. CN, VIA, CP on 4 high speed tracks = a good day! i had no idea they routinely shared track elsewhere in the country, so thanks for the info.

  • I am totally working on CP Rail. If you want to work on CP, Here are the right places to apply: All of canada except Newfoundland, New Brunswick, Yukon, N.Territories Nunavut, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island (Wont accept). All of the U.S. (They will accept these state: illinois, indianna, michigan, minnesota, north dakota, new york, pennsylvania, wisconsin, iowa, south dakota and missouri. they will on accept those states).

  • 4 engines and 140 boogies :)
