This is my favorite smoothie from the 14 Day Green Smoothie Challenge. (www.greensmoothiechallenge.com)

Banana & Berry Green Smoothie
- 1 Banana
- 2-4 Strawberries
- 2 Cos Lettuce Leaves
- handful of Baby Spinach leaves
- 1 glass of water
(optional - ginger, mint, health powders, Udos oil)

Put into a blender and then drink (unfiltered). It's chewy but so good for you!

  • My Doc put me on this diet, and your recipe sounds delicious! Thanks!

  • You're very welcome! It really weirded me out at first blending greens with water but I was pleasantly surprised! So refreshing.

  • "I've lost the lid" Classic ;)

  • Ive gotten used to the green smoothies...I use the kale more than anything....I put berries and just tried mango in mine {cant eat banana's right now, they make my ears and throat itch}

    Finding myself loving them more and more!

  • I try not to put any kind of sweetener in my smoothies....I have a few times.....sugar a couple times and honey about 2/3 times....I've only done that when I didnt have soy milk or yogurt to add to it....I havent tried the stevia and I stay away from agave too {never tried either}

  • My favorite sweetener is fruit, coconut water, stevia & honey. I stay away from agave completely. Banana & coconut water are my base everytime. On occasion, I'll throw in: apple, stevia leaf from my garden, melon or honey. I try not to over-combine so I can avoid anything less than 100% and enjoy my food better.

  • I was told that if u cant handle the "blandness" ( is that a word? lol) of the green smoothie...add fruit to make it sweeter...

    But of course to make it just green whenever possible...but its hard for me to do the green smoothies even with the fruit
