FREEDOM, that is like comparing the Olympics of the 50's to the Olympics of today, or even movie making back then to now, they did great things in their time and no one can dispute that but the next generation is always going to surpass the old one, it is that simple, so don't knock the achievements of these men, basketball was dying back then and Bob Cousy helped save it, if he hadn't, we wouldn't have Jordan, Iverson, Paul, Magic,or Nash, just appreciate it for what it was, a time of change.

okay a pioneer but how jordon took the league 2 anuva level , every player that does a crossover took it 2 anuva level lol iverson , hardaway , and more all took what he did and 1000 times did it better lol

And as for saying that his defenders where pathetic, its all relative. As the standards of defense got higher, so did the offensive standards. Add to this that that the rules of basketball have changed over time to make everything easier for the players, you cant really make a accurate comparison between any players of different eras.

Cousy bought style and flashy play to the basketball world. He was the first PG in the league to do things like he did. All those other players(no disrespect to them)came after him and kind of copied his style(probably not intentionally).
