  • OOPS! Sorry! JUST looked at my Adler Program & it was 1981 not 84 that i saw him

  • @generalgibberish the important thing was to wave heard and seen the Maestro "live".

  • @generalgibberish I have a book by Larry Adler "me and my big mouth," but I know there is another titled "It ain't necessarily so"

I would be very grateful if you send me a copy of your program. You can do it for

    hermenegildo.mendes @ clix.pt

    Thank you.

  • Wow! Thanks so much for posting this! I thoroughly enjoyed it! Got any more Adler?

  • @landztranz Yes, you can watch more on my other channel riskas513, thanks.

  • RIP Larry. He still had it all going on! Too bad he didn't live a few more good years after this one. Was it his last performance ??

  • @TheMirrorpoet I think so, considering the following news -May 24th - Larry left the hospital "unofficially" to be at the Duke of Edinburgh's 80th birthady show at the Albert Hall. He died on August 6, 2001.

  • I sent the program. Hope you get it ok. it failed the first time. If not, send a email to me at generalgibberish@hotmail.com & i'll try again. Regarding "Me & my big mouth", i heard a rumor that he didn't actually write that, & was not very happy about it. I read it after his other one, & before hearing the rumor, & thought it didn't feel like he wrote it, as it was a different feel to the words in comparison with the other. LOVED the other one! Don't know how true the rumor was. Take Care

  • Agreed. I checked your blog, & watchecd the first 2 videos. WOW! GREAT music! Is that your group?? If so, PLEASE keep up the wonderful work! I'll be watching the all. Great photos of old mouth organs too! I tried commenting there, but it wanted me to join a blog thing thru google, & i just have WAY too many passwords, etc now, so thought i'd comment here. I added your blog to my favorites.

  • Read the autobiography he wrote?? He used this tune's name for the title. GREAT book! Your library may have it, or be able to get it thru inter library loan from one that does. After concert, he asked if i played. Told him even my PEN is a chromatic! {brand of pen}. He took it, looked, & said "By god you're right! It IS a chromatic!" Put it to his lips, moving it back & forth, humming part of "Summertime". A memory i'll ALWAYS cherish! Be happy to send a copy of the program if you send email.

  • @generalgibberish You're a lucky man. I only can see the Maestro in video. Thanks for comment.
