She's a 16-bit character. Let's see you dance better when you're 2D.

Beautiful song, but for some reason...even with the midi sound the SNES version sounds better to me...

@laoiyah the SNES has superior sound system chips than the GBA. This is why you all say it sounded better, because it did. ;p

@sega31098 Dude she is a sprite.

SNES will always be the best version.

@laoiyah Absalutely! And the lyrics were better too

@justa16thnote Wah, that was a long time ago.
I wasn't making a case about the actual sound quality of the games, it was more about the way you listened to them. I was just saying that imo, DS + headphones > listening to the game through a TV however many feet away.
That being said, from listening to games on the same system (handheld Castlevanias for example) I understand sound quality varies between games and it's totally possible the SNES version did actually sound better. I wouldn't know.

@MouseKeysDesk It's the game pak, not the console that holds the sound card.

@CatMuto The Japanese version was a part of the VOICES concert; English versions were performed at the More Friends and Distant Worlds concert; the Italian version is a part of the Grand Finale album.
i've heard the orchestrated version of this, and now i'm wondering.
are the voices in Italian, or Japanese?

There are versions in English, Italian, and Japanese, that I've heard.

It's been so long, but I'm sure it was on one of the arrange albums, I think "Final Fantasy VI Grand Finale" or maybe one of the others. You should be able to find it if you go torrent-hunting for the FFVI albums.
