March of the Living 2008 - The First Day

This was our first "real" day of the March of the Living. We went to Auschwitz-Birkenau and then did the actual march with 10,000 other Jews from all over the world.

Very artistically rendered, subtly underlining the eternal link between Jews in Israel and the cruel diaspora with the dream of one day returning to Jerusalem.

Powerful! Ofra Haza's 'Jerusalem of Gold' always puts a lump in the throat (you don't have to understand Hebrew and Naomi Shemer's words to feel that - but that was Ofra's supreme talent). But it occurs to me , at risk of sounding picky, don't you think that Ofra's "Trains Of No Return" could have found its way in here ?
Just food for thought.
