Remember when mom used to take you kids everywhere in the station wagon?? Well, daddy got ahold of this one--of course he's a grandpa now. But seriously, this 1971 Ford Galaxy 500 Country Sedan Station Wagon is one of two cars owned by a very ill gentleman. It's all there, has a 429, dual exhaust, runs and drives with ease, heat works fine and its got A/C, nice wheels, and dual exhaust.. He told us that he had put on a new alternator, new regulator, new brakes--front hub out, new starter relay, new Monroe shocks (heavy duty on front--heavy duty air on back), and lastly Lake pipes. A new ignition switch was just put in. This is a good running, driving car that can be a daily driver while you restore it.
Primary options would have been a 351 Windsor, 351 Cleveland, 400, 429, 460, for the 71-72 model years, the 400 was introduced in 71 to the full size, previous years had the 390 in place of the 400 that was yet to be...

@papershow your 74 most likely does have the 400 , but 70 was the last year ford put the F,E 390 in cars

@390merc65 maybe my 74 has a 400 and i think the only other options were a 320 and a 460 (i could be wrong but im pretty sure im right)
