It might be an idea if you read a book called "CALL ME ANNA" - It is Patty Dukes autobiography - I think you will be shocked.

Patty Duke was born to be Actor, she is so sharp! What a pro so very young, I bet Bette Davis, and Susan Hayward noticed this youngster walking in, to one day replace them, I mean I suspect they would have approoved..
Patty DUkes got Fire, and Strength!!

When this movie originally came out it was considered "racey" the booze, the pills, abortion etc. Quite tame by today's standards.......

Now you get out of my way i've got a man waiting for me !

Patty rocks. She played the part they gave her to play. Since I know she's a great actress, I know she played the role to the utmost.

You truly have to view this movie several times to appreciate the sheer campiness of the performances...they vary from wooden to over the top and back again. Judy Garland was originally slated to play Helen Lawson. As a camp classic, it would be hard to top "Valley of the Dolls."

I love the catfight in the toilet!
