1985! That's the year I was born! It's amazing to see this kind of footage, even more amazing that the old jokes like "they've all got their trunks on" or "most feared animal: elephant's mother-in-law" have survived for so long.
I can still remember the old candy-striped boats, no piranhas, no Indy and ole Trader Sam didn't have his pet elephant yet, I think the last elephant at 2:20 became Sam's pet.
Ahh good memories...

This is about how the attraction looked when I worked there in 1992. We were more animated skippers though. I also miss the smaller boats.
You can tell how shallow it is by the headhunter canoe - I remember that as being the derailing locations if you decellerate in that area.

I like the Disney parks as they are now (more or less) but it's pretty cool to see old footage of them. Nice upload :D

Wow...I have no memory of a time when this ride DIDN'T pass by Indiana Jones.

The ticking and popping on this video is interference from the spark plugs of the Jungle boat.
If you click the second button from the left bottom of the video screen, it really does make the picture much better, though a little smaller.
