Airboss, you're right. I'm Austrian and i live it! Been living in the USA for a long time now and have been trying ever since i moved to get the BEST ski movie ever made on DVD for region 1. If anyone knows a source, please post. To Micky: You obviously have never skied before and have no idea what you're talking about.

I remember seeing this movie - when John was "chasing" after Suzie - he went through New York (?), Kansas and then finally, Denver - the Rocky Mountains... where he finally caught up with Suzie... am I right?

I have been trying to get hold of this film for ages. I was living in Germany as a skiing instructor when it was released in the mid 80's and the whole film was so inspirational. I had it on video but that has disappeared. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, if anyone knows how I can get hold of it let me know. Thank you.

search for 'Feuer und Eis' and the first DVD who appears is the great movie by Willy Bogner.
hopefully they will send it to the states but I am sure about that!
