Electrofishing is used to sample young fish in rivers and streams. The anode stick delivers 300 V DC current that affect the fish in such way that they swim towards the anode where they are collected by a dip-net.

  • Those are not trout. They are young salmons, parr as they are called in the riverine phase, before the go to sea to gain weight. They stay in the river for 3 years and 1-2 in the sea.
