Alexander Hamilton's Grange was his beloved country home in the hills north of New York City (now part of Harlem). Moved twice over the course of two hundred plus years, it has found its final (hopefully) location just behind City College, CUNY just off Convent Ave. Run by the National Parks Service and open to the public, it looks much the way it did when Hamilton lived there.
This is an impromptu video - I happened to be passing by - shot with my brand new small hand-held camcorder just to try it out.
SPECIAL THANKS to Julie from Northern Virginia - a total stranger - for being such a good sport and playing "hostess." She went through a lot of effort to be there, obviously was thrilled about it, and had no idea what she was in for when I wound up next to her in line.
