  • We are also Idolaters if we start looking at man-made things and natural things as if they came into existence from themselves. A spoon or a fork could be called an idol if you don't recognize where the materials came from to make the spoon.

You can idolize your computer or your fingers which are using to type by not recognizing that God made this and that He Created EVERYTHING.

An Idol is a False God. Anything in life can be a GOD, Anything.

But the head God of the False God's is our own self.

  • I am deep into , not the bible, but scripture. It is all I do.

  • @PHANTOMSLAYER777 Bible & Scriptures are the same things my friend.

  • We are Idolaters if we do not recognize that God Created Us:

"Know that the LORD, HE IS GOD! IT IS HE WHO MADE US, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture." (Psalm 100:3)

  • Blond Eve and so forth, lol, hughly unlikely.

  • @PHANTOMSLAYER777 David the Prophet recognized God's Creative Power when he said, "O LORD, how great are thy works!" (Ps 92:5) "O LORD, how manifold are your works! In wisdom have you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures." (Ps 104:24) "I meditate on all that you have done; I ponder the work of your hands." (Ps 143:5) "All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD;" (Ps 145:10)

I could go on & on. My point is that The Bible is Teaching us how NOT to be an Idolater.

    CREATION IS NOT GOD.

  • When you were a kid and they were telling you whatever you believe in religion, do you think if they had switched the fairytales that they read to you in bed with the bible you would know the difference? Do you think that if it was the fairy tale about a man who lived inside of a whale and it was religion that jack built a beanstalk today you would know the difference? Why do you believe in one fairy tale and not the other?

  • @mishakol129 Far from it. There is an enormous difference in profaning the most high by calling him "LOrd, Or God, or even Jesus."

My scripture include none of the above. This is nothing I choose to debate. Yahuah bless you.

  • @PHANTOMSLAYER777 The Iconography reminds us of God's mighty Deeds which He wrought in the sight of the Nations for HIS Glory and HIS Honor and HIS Greatness.

They are not "Idols" which are bowed down to. Idolatry is the Worship of the Creation instead of the Creator. Icons do not teach us to worship Creation. God Created Everything and if we know this then NOTHING could be Idolatrous to us. Everyone is an Idolater. U & Me. Our minds convict us of this B-cause we don't recognize God in Creation

  • @PHANTOMSLAYER777 But Iconography is not idolatry because they are not "Molten" or "Carved Images" (Habakkuk 2:18)

They are simply paintings of something which is Holy. We do not worship the people depicted in the images. We only worship God and Jesus Christ. We just venerate the Saints because it was God Who worked wonders through them. They did mighty deeds in the sight of the Nations by God's Grace.

And do you not know that the Saints shall judge the world? (1 Corinthians 6:2)
