I recently converted my recording studio from mostly ANALOG (Out of the Box) to totally DIGITAL (In the Box). This video is the story of how I see and hear the difference.
The computers language is all Ones and Zeros. These simple elements in the digital world give rise to unexpected complexity and consequences at the human scale.

You're the only composer I've ever known of who can provide true showmanship with both simple, liquid-pure sounds, and orchestras brimming with harps and horns! It's what I call GENIUS! Now I'm going to be thinking all night about the images and audible points I hadn't considered before Living In The Box. You've done it to me again... you've affected my mind once again. Feels good to ponder! Thank you!

What a fine box you left for us to open. My own box is made from 100% recycled ideas.

Fascinating and brilliant. All your many talents have come together to make tru art. I would venture to say converting your studio was a success!

A great integration of energies and rhythms and connections. Distortion passing as clarity -- simple words that my mind won't ignore. Separation and Togetherness -- interesting to ponder how those "definitions" have changed in our society as technology has evolved. Thanks as always for waking me up and making me listen and see and think differently. Can't wait to see where you take all of us next.

Nice dissertation on music, society and technology Perry. "Fists" appears to be a more personal look into your life while "Living in the box" forces us to examine the consequences of a changing world. Very intriguing!
