Our first set of passes on the MK6 GTI with the APR Stage III Kit. Horsepower claims were exactly as advertised, torque was slightly lower but not by much. File massaging should bring us up to 330-350 WHP with an equal amount of torque. Car is running 92 Octane winter blend (basically 91 octane). Inital gains were 100 wheel horsepower and 100 ft.lbs of wheel torque. Car dynoed with 300 miles on the odometer.

  • would you need some engine mounts for this, the engine seems to have a lot of movement

  • @autothisworld Not worth the trade offs in our opinion, the movement isnt that bad given the amount of power being put down. We do use a rear torque mount insert to help reduce wheel hop.

  • @FutrellAutowerks so does the kit actually come with everything necessarily for the car to run properly, or are there some other things like a high pressure fuel pump that are needed to use the kit?

  • @autothisworld No high pressure pump is needed, a high flow cat is, intake is not included, neither is a clutch upgrade or limited slip, we'd recommend both!

  • do you have to run octane if u do stage three or can you do it either way?

  • @mercerbrad2010 Only premium fuel is required.

  • Take off that hood liner

  • so with DSG, would you go against a stage 3?

  • @FutrellAutowerks so what do you recomend for upgrades if i just want to upgrade my daily driver and not have to worry about paying so much for fuel.

  • @lbryan250 DSG can take it as long as you're not excessively abusive.
