So you eat the Sauce, and already get it in your whooole mouth.

You want the heat to be everywear.. why else would you eat hot when you dont want it to be hot.

But yes, it will spread, i agree. but not if you do it right in the first place. :D

drinking water spreads the capsaicin around your mouth. so in that respect it does make the heat worse.

I drink water while i eat my hot sauces.

It gets better.

Milk is better.

OIL! is the best.

Water does not make it worse if you ate the hot sauce "right" in the first place...

Just yesterday i ate a Naga Jalokia and i drank a cup of water afterwards.

It did NOT get worse. ^^
