  • My 96-p. paperback "Along the Far Climb Down" is available at the notorious PolyEster Books in Melbourne, Australia...

  • Gonzo here the owner of Polyester Books, many thanks for the great comments. I feel a little old & crotchity sometimes and reading the above

    makes it feel worthwhile again.

  • i went to melbourne the other week just to go to polyester books and what a cool store everything i expected then some came home with a heap of dvds books and other weird shit everyone check them out u wont find a better place im going to save some cash get out of tassie and back there again soon

  • Polyester books has been threatened by Neo Nazi Femanists, bible bashing fascists censoring Government stooges, wowsers and faceless corporations and still they provide a wonderful service.

    Support them whenever you can.

  • They even sell christian comic books by Jack T Chick.

I remember there was a bit of a debacle over the selling of Mein Kampf. I went in there and had a bit of a read of Gadaffi's green book, which is banned in OZ.

  • Yeah, the shop is full of filth, I've even seen my own books in there when I was visiting....

  • Polyester rules. My friend and I spanked a naked man in there once and made him very happy.

Frankly, if that isn't the sign of a good bookstore, I don't know what is.

  • Polyester is not only a great book shop (I think the best in Aust), but its a warrior in the drug war, the war on terror, and the fight to educate and inform. Fight the power!
