Rowan University Homecoming 2007
Delta Phi Epsilon and Phi Kappa Sigma perform their rendition of "Candyland" to coincide with the 1967 Summit at Hollybush. Waaay back, President Johnson and Premier Kosygin met at Hollybush (it's one of Rowan's buildings) to discuss ways and means to head off nuclear war. The talks were successful and the two countries promised good future relations thus dubbing it "the spirit of Hollybush." Sooo yaaay, I guess Rowan is famous (sort of).
So anyway, DPhiE and Phi Kap chose something that was in the 60s, and the 3rd edition of Candyland was in 1962 or something. If you can't follow the story line, don't worry about it because unless you go to Rowan or know the whole Hollybush deal, it doesn't make much sense.
Apologies for the intense white... the visual of the video SUCKS, because I think the white balance was incorrectly on and plus it was pouring rain out as we performed. Miserable day. But the audio is still there. And our float looks like hell because we're only allowed to build it the day before and it rained all day and night. It finally let up at like 2 am, so we were able to put the set together, but weren't allowed to use power tools at that hour. Ooooohh tons of fun this homecoming was!
I guess our efforts paid off because we got 2nd place =)
