Does anyone remember HitClips? yup I got a collection going, I have 27 hitclips chips and 12 hitclips discs. the clips are the square ones, those came out in about 2000 or so (says on the back of each clip) and the discs came out in about 2003 or so (on back). these all work but the disc player needs work as its a little frankensteinish right now it needs a new headphone speaker added. right now I have just an audio plug wired on it and a busted headphone speaker. I have most of the boombox style players but I can't find them right now but I have the one that looks like a bookshelf stereo and one that looks like a cute little boombox with gray and black camo patterns on it. I am eventually going to find every hitclips player i own I have a bunch of the small personal players most with missing earbuds. I've removed the limiting resistor in all of these personal players b/c its not loud enough for me. I briefly play a couple seconds of audio on these, the sound is bad compared to today's standards so it should be fine. I have been meaning to do a video on these but I wasnt sure if they would work after hanging around on my wall for years but they did. I cleaned these just with a little saliva and my shirt and it worked. I dont recommend that you do this use alcohol and a swab but whichever works best for you. well I hope you enjoy this vid and please post video responses to this video showing your hitclips collections.

I know I miss going to walmart and buying these and collecting them. now the selection completely sucks now. there was one time that the device used to show info on the product caught my interest more than the product itself. It was a device that played a video when you pressed a button.

It would be cool if the company offered a custom Hitclip where you can put ur own song or audio footage on one by uploading an MP3 file of yours to their site and the chip will be mailed to you.

That would be really cool but they would probably get legal heat from the RIAA. I would rather go the local approach and bypass the internet. Yahoo came out with a downloader which recorded up to 2 mins of a song and it would play in any hitclips player. I even started editing songs down to 2 mins. and making my own mixes. They also had an FM radio cartridge that worked in any player.

@DaAnalogDogg86 I saw them on TV and you can even find the ad on here. they claimed it was small (it was) and pumped out monster sound (not really until I modded mine) but I thought they were cool so I started collecting them. Another thing I'd like are those keychain MCD things that play half or a full song.
