Ann Knapp of the Nebraska City Jaycees helped organize her first community Easter egg hunt. The Jaycees scattered over 3,000 eggs, bunnies and prizes through American Meter park.
The number of participants did not appear to be affected by the weather, which included temperatures in the mid-20s.
Scooter Edmisten of the Nebraska City Recreation Department organized the city Easter egg hunt at Steinhart Park. Over 400 people shrugged off the freezing temperatures to attend the annual event. Over 4,000 eggs and prizes were placed on the lawn.
