The IR absorption spectrum for CO2 and all the other major greenhouse gases is readily available. The greenhouse mechanism has been trivially understood since the 19th century.

Without any greenhouse gases the Earth would be an uninhabitable iceball with an average temperature more akin to that of the moon.

The only contention between honest participants is in the size of the feedbacks; feedbacks determine whether unabated CO2 emission is merely an economic disaster or a civilization ender.

Global cooling was never a widely accepted view. Repeating this lie doesn't make it any more true, it's just makes the axe you're grinding more visible.

There is no difference between "global warming" and "climate change". The change in terminology happened because of those who strategically "misunderstand" the difference between local climate and global climate.
