GoPro Average Joe's being HD Heros at Copper Mountain

It's great that even when there are no Olympians pulling double cork 1080's in the Super Pipe to film, you can still have a great time just screwing around on the mountain. This one is for the other 30-somethings out there with kids and a mortgage who can't risk a blown out knee in the park every time they head to the mountain (sorry Dave). Filmed entirely with the GoPro HD Hero in 720p 60fps and edited with Final Cut.

I was using a Quickpod with a tripod mount on the GoPro. Best $30 I ever spent for the GoPro. You could use a ski pole with a handlebar mount too, but the Quickpod folds up to be about 7" long and fits nicely in the thigh pocket of my snowboard pants. Plus you can fully articulate the head of the Quickpod, so you get the ability to twist the GoPro side to side and on angles, which most of their mounts don't do.

I'm using Final Cut 7 to edit. You should definitely get a GoPro HD, it's the best $300 I've ever spent.

Pretty cool vid!

I got this same camera a couple of weeks ago. Although it's still Summer here in New Zealand I bought it thinking of the upcoming season.

For now I'm just learning how to use it and also making some longboarding videos.

and GoPro HD is definitely worth every cent you spend on it!
