Lahore Police Attack: Classic Pak Reaction

This interview clip with Brigadier Ghazanfar Ali - a Pakistani government affiliated terrorism analyst - on Lahore police station attack in Spring 2009 is notable in its demonstration of Pak officialdom's reflex reaction to blame "external elements" (ie. Indian and Israeli intelligence agencies) for terrorism on its soil. No thought whatsoever is given to the possibility of homegrown terrorism.

As a Pakistani, it boils my blood to see Pak govt. affiliated "experts" instinctively blame RAW and Mossad for all terrorist attacks in the country. Are we so blinded by hate of Hindus and Jews that we cannot even entertain the possibility that our own people are capable of mass murder? Why can we not admit that the Jihadi-madrassa network (that is/was used in Afghanistan and Kashmir, but became a liability after 9/11 due to US pressure) can be responsible for strikes against the state?

Denial of reality will destroy us.On 14th December 1971 Radio Pakistan was reporting all is well in Dacca whereas already General Niazi had contacted the US councilate to convey the message of surrender to India. Baitullah and men like him are animals whether in NWFP or Punjab. They need to be smashed or Pakistan will implode stop diluting the focus by pointing fingers and absolving resposibility.
