@DeadpoolPabst nah bro.

My dad used to play this to me when I was really little.
I never saw him after I was 3 years old, and he died when I was 10, but he was a cool dad.

@Eddyfilm i dont guess that captain beefheart is in the same family that the beatles, beefheart is a fucking genius that could blend delta blues, avantgarde and free jazz in a frenetic collage and the beatles always made pop ditties. i think this album is the best of punk.

I can't help it but think about Nietzsche when I listen to this song

@DeadpoolPabst why 'indie' fans suck pt. 1
-
@DeadpoolPabst No. What the fuck is St. Vincent?/
-
PROPER FIERCE KICK ASS POST PUNK FUNK, OH YEAH!
-
It's cool that everyone just talks about St. Vincent on a Pop Group video. I mean, It's not like the original is even worth talking about, right?
-
@slobbir I'm pretty sure this came out before that Clash record..
-
@Eddyfilm I would recommend you to listen to The Clash - "Broadway" from "Sandinista!". If you can't find the conection, then listen again.

Thumbs up if you are here because of St. Vincent.

@musicforchewfaygs Comparing the Pop Group to the Clash is like comparing the Beatles to Captain Beefheart. Same family, totally different species. I suppose the guitar on this particular song sounds vaguely reminiscent of 'rock the casbah' possibly? Or London calling? I'm sorry, what on earth gives you this impression? This is brash discordant dub influenced post punk, whereas the Clash is leftist working class punk rock turned world music sampler. I fail to see the similarity at all
