In the comments of performances of this song, it's almost unanimously agreed that the recorded version is somewhat of a let down in comparison. She recorded Clam, crab, cockle, cowrie twice... maybe we will be so lucky for her to do another version of Esme too.

Haha, if you look back in the comments you'll see one I left a year ago, which was mostly a positive remark. It's funny how much good and healing Joanna's music brought to my life... It's just a shame that she rebuilt my heart for someone to break it all over again. But I guess that's the way it goes.

i love how her voice just pours out and cascades down so fluidly when she first sing at the beginning. the "I...." is so perfect, it really makes the song. so stunning.
