TWO HOT tunes I recorded of the Uptown Lowdown Jazz Band at THE 14TH ANNUAL GLACIER JAZZ STAMPEDE festival, Saturday, October 6th, 2007.

The 2 song titles are:
"LADY LOVE" and "THE CHANT."

Uptown Lowdown is one of the most popular bands on the dixieland/trad jazz circuit today, and I can never seem to get enough of the great music they perform.

Band Members:
Bert Barr - Cornet/Leader
Rose Barr - Piano
Tom Jacobus - Trombone
Paul Woltz - Reeds
John Goodrich - Reeds
Art Horgen - Tuba
Al LaTourette - Banjo

Check out the websites above for more information and CD's.

  • Instead of the US Army Paul Woltz and John Goodrich together with their large calibre Sax machines should be ssent to Afghanistan. The Taliban would never be able to fight;they would be too entranced by the music.Instead of hopping with rage over the "Infidel" they would hop to the beat.Blow the madmen away with this music, blow their socks off!I cannot praise this band enough!

  • Hi Squarerig!

I couldn't begin to say it any better than you did above! Thanks for your nice comments.

  • My fave sax duelers, this time on alto and soprano :)

  • How about Paul Woltz for President, and John Goodrich for Vice President, and they can trade jobs once in a while, but not miss any festival gigs!
