@hevaful Your father was an excellent player. I saw him play for the Norwich City first team on many occasions at Carrow Road, when i was a kid growing up in Norwich during the 1970's. I can remember that I felt more than a lil disappointed when he was transferred to West Ham United in December of 1973 (or thereabouts). I was 8 years of age at the time. If Mr Paddon had remained at Carrow Road, the Canaries may well have managed to avoid relegation that season.
He truly was a great player.

Great stuff ...... I really enjoyed watching that, so I did. And I must say that the quality of the footage is excellent, considering that it is from 1972 - almost 40 (!) years ago now.
The Norwich City F.C. team of 1971/'72 may not have been a great one, in terms of footballing ability/talent ..... but it was certainly an EXCEPTIONALLY FIT team. I enjoyed watching the footage of the players training on Mousehold Heath; the 'hopping' exercises that they were doing looked really hard.

Fantastic video and geat memories. I was there at every home match as a 14 year old - I remember the 5-1 win over Blackpool like it was yesterday. That game was crucial - City were beginning to slip and it restored a lot of confidence. I even painted my subbuteo players with canary hairstyles (including the brilliant Graham Paddon!). David Cross was very underrated as well and was a great centre forward. All of them have a place in history.

I knew your dad pretty well. He was a great guy and a super footballer. His left foot was lethal. Loved him at my club - West Ham!

He was a fantastic player...you must be very proud of him!
Great to see Clive Payne involved in that clip of the blackpool game. He joined Bournemouth (my team) in 1973 when i was 9 years old and he became my favourite player! Good player - did well for us... sadly had to retire very young with injury.

That's Clive (known as "Ted" within the club) at 1:25, the only one jumping those sticks without tucking his legs to one side!
He saved Norwich many a goal with his goal-line clearances.
