The run on fiat currency has already started when sovereign banks run against central banks by repatriating their gold held by central banks. The central banks that print money leased out the gold that entrusted to them by the sovereign banks, and now they must print more money to buy back that gold to return it to the rightful owners. That will inflate the price of gold and devalue the fiat currency.

Sovereign banks will start the run against fiat currency before the average citizen knows it.
