I have great respect for the Lancea Sanctum, who convert their souls fully -- not partially -- to the Nightside of Eden.

If there's one thing I despise, it's a half-hearted commitment to a creed. And that is what Catholicism is today. A morass of a billion half-hearts.

Even the Pope has his ass knocked down by a scrawny Italian girl.

That seems a very black and White view to me, surely you belief there are some whole hearted believing Christians in the world, and if you don't, maybe have a good look around, obviously you must be missing something?

And what does half heartedness to do with the physical strength of our Pope?

Interesting! In the Western Dominican Province U.S.A. we have vestition not during Mass, but during Evening Prayer. As the habit is put on each novice we sing the "Veni, Creator Spiritus," not the "Salve." Ah well, different customs make for a richer experience of religious life.

If I remember correctly we sung the "Veni, Creator Spiritus", but then the Salve after having repeated it a few times. I just used the Salve as it worked out well in the video...

for you friars it's easier than for us women, you've got no veil :-) I'm so glad this order still wears the traditional habit! Would be a great loss if they didn't, I think, that's quite important, it's somewhat, you know, easier to keep on the road... towards God

I have great respect for the Dominicans and the Benedictines in our church. They still wear their habits. I am sadden that some of the religious abandon their traditional habits and want to be like the seculars. What is wrong of wearing your habits ? Don't tell me it makes easier for you to mix in with people. I've seen some religious wearing their habits have more postulants and their orders are growing in numbers. Of course habits dont make you holy, I know that.

WE FRANCISCANS ALSO WEAR OUR HABIT.

@xanh01 What is wrong with lay people telling religious people how to live and how to dress?!

Also, in our Province we still have Vestition as a private ceremony only for the community. How well I remember my own vestition 37 years ago. This video does bring back wonderful memories!
