Thanks for posting, Addi. You have a great channel. As much as I listen to Flagstad, I am astounded everytime I listen to her.

What more can be said of her singing that already hasn't been said? This is another example of perfection, and especially clear of artifice - she presents the music directly, with her own stamp of humility and simplicity, all wrapped up in that golden voice.

The warmth, nobility, and beauty of Flagstad's voice remain unsurpassed. Moreover, her sense of line and breath control are superb. Even if her interpretive power may not always match that of certain other sopranos who sing this music, she is still the preeminent Wagnerian soprano of the ages. Thanks, Addi, for sharing!
