http://www.seedlingsrus.com/Viburnum.html call us at 215 651 8329 We deliver and plant Viburnums and othe shrubs we grow to East Coast States. Arrowwood Viburnum is a rounded, dense shrub with arching branches. We sell these plants as seedlings and up to 6ft multi stemmed plants. Coarsely toothed, glossy green leaves turn yellow to reddish purple in the fall. In late May and early June, flat-topped white flower clusters are produced. The flowers are followed by berry-like fruit which turn blue in late summer. Plants grow 6 to 8 feet tall and 8 to 10 feet wide. It will withstand heavy shade and moist soil conditions. Arrowwood viburnum is native and a staple in many northern landscapes. It has flat clusters of white flowers in mid May. The dark green, slightly glossy leaves are 2-3" wide and 3-4" long with sharply dented leaf margins. Foliage turns yellow to red-orange to purple in autumn. The quality of fall color may vary from plant to plant. The fruits turn dark blue in September and are attractive. The fruits are well liked by birds. The fruits are usually eaten by fall and are a fall attraction. Plants maintain a dense full plant habit without much renewal pruning required. These plants can take a hard pruning if they get over sized in your landscape. This viburnum can be used in the landscape in masses, hedges, or shrub borders. Requirements and Culture: Arrowwood Viburnum prefers a good loam soil with ample moisture. They do well in full sun or shade. Prune off basal suckers to restrict spreading if necessary. These Viburnums prefers neutral to acid soils. A selected cultivar that we grow is the 'Chicago Lustre' which has glossy, dark green foliage.
