Almond Milk Shake
Serves Two
Prepration time 15 mins
Ingredients
Almonds/Badam - 2 tea spoons
Cahsew nuts/Kaju - 1 tea spoon
pistachio / Pista - 1 tea spoon
Pitted dates (could be dry also) - 6 count
Raisins - 2 tea spoon
Dry apricot (khumani) - 2 count (optional)
Small green cardamom/elaichi - 2 count
Fennel seeds/saunf - 1/2 tea spoon
Black pepper corns/kali mirch dane - 4 corns
Process:
Soak almonds in 1/2 cup water for 8 hrs minimum.
Soak all other ingredients in 1/2 cup water, separately for 8 hrs.
May be soak them overnight.
After the ingredients have soaked well. Peel almonds skin off. Discard almond skins and and any water left after almonds have soaked well.
Grind ALL the soaked ingredients, including almonds, into a fine paste.
Do not discard the water of other ingredients.
Mix about 3 tea spoon of the paste with 1 glass milk. Add ice - mix again. Almond Milk Shake is ready.
Instead of milk you can also use just water. In that case use 4 tea spoon of the paste.
You can also just eat the paste...YUMMY!!!
