Unless there was sufficient moisture in the room, like for example you put energy in [cause an energy imbalance] by cooling the water to cause unpresidented rainfall in the area of the glass, eventually the glass would lack the attraction to get the bird back for another sip.

i have a cat too :)

@Nathanchooper hey! im applying i can breathe air H2O its science now HIRE ME lol
-
Potential and kinetic energy! lol
-
Wikipedia: drinking bird. It's a heat engine. Regardless, those drinking birds use amazingly complex physics for a ducky toy with a top hat on.

No dude, The Potencial Energy Becomes in Kinetic Energy...Also the toy moves becose the Center of Mass isn't in the axis...So it moves by the Gravity in other words...

rubbish

Too bad I couldn't use that in my Camaro!!!

@Nathanchooper dude what r u saying i like your style hired

@videowatchright Nah, I saw a guy that hooked one up to a small gen.. He was generating small amounts of electricity with it.. its actually on youtube. check it out. Generating something like 2 microamps. lol still its free energy.. although its such a small amount youd need millions of them.. lol
why don't we have mister sippy generators? (o.0) LOL

its using heat in the air

@burdoch1 nah, i dont think it is cos the bird, air and the water are all the same temperature, you need a temperature gradient to create energy. i used to be enclined to think that its because the water level in the glass is higher up than that in the bird, after all energy equals mgh, but none of the water enters the bird so i dunno
