Must have novacom installed from the SDK dev kit and the Pre must be in dev mode. To get into Dev mode type in"upupdowndownleftrightleftrightbastart" on the homescreen of the Pre and a dev icon will pop up. switch to on and it will reboot into dev mode. repeat sequence to take it out of dev mode. I leave mine in dev mode so i dont have to reboot all the time

Another method is too download PreBrew which is what I used before quickinstall available at precentral.net or http://cid-e47a245fdc43bd04.skydrive.live.com/self.aspx/Public/PreBrew%201.1%... try going to the forums at precentral.net Theres where I learned about all this stuff. They are alot smarter then me :)

  • thanx for this..really helpful, but the portion where u say go to the start menu and type 'services' i notice tht u have Windows Vista and i have XP, so i don't see that option to type that in. I can just use the safely remove hardware function can't i?

  • i think so......

  • Wow, nice vid. I'm the developer of WebOSQuickInstall. Glad to know people are using it :). A few minor notes: current version is 1.35 and SDK is no longer required. My app now downloads WebOSDoctor, and my app will attempt to install novacom itself. Oh, and I don't believe it's needed to stop the Novacom service.

  • good to know. Thanks alot Jay

  • Will these apps come on to the app catalog?

  • probably not
