same happens on ps2 when you put a pc game disk in

haha me Ps1 , (psx , big rectangular with gay tone , not the withe small) have a purple/blue with bubbles , CD error screen XD
-
This never occurred to me or any of my friends. Sure we had errors from time to time, but if memory serves right, it went to a blue screen that said something about inserting a proper CD or something...
In graphical look, it was kinda similar to the "menu" that you got to when you left the lid open. Also, just a bit of trivia, since not many people may realize this, but PSX could run (legit) audio-CD's and even had it's software to control it :D

@Mematman15 I still to this day speak of Playstation 1 as PSX if i need to differentiate it from the rest...
Back in my childhood (ten or so years ago) even the game review shows referred to as PSX. I these days do know about the doodad that's the "official" PSX.
But to me and almost everybody else apart from you, PSX = PS1 for ever.

Happens to me. I tried to burn (copy and paste actually lol) the GT game and this thing come out

Me: Let's put a Game on!
*turns ons*

Me: NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

@Mematman15 yeah he's right, PSX was the original name for PS1, back in the 90s we all called it PSX. I am aware of the PS2 DVR drive of the same name..

For some reason, this screen makes me want to play Double Jeopardy.
-
@Mematman15 when it came out it was called PSX. PS1 was the slim for PSX
This is the PS1, not the PSX -_-"

@Mematman15 PSX is pretty much used to refer to the PS1. Most people don't know about that DVR.

@HaloSpartanG13 I don't really see why they call it the PSX. Makes it seem like they're calling it the PlayStation X or something.

@Mematman15 The name was originally chosen by SCEA to replace the PlayStation name in the US but was ditched.
