National Association of Travellers' Centres: Youth Service

The National Association of Travellers' Centres (NATC) delivers Youth Services to over 4,000 young people in 24 Youth Projects in Ireland.

To celebrate and promote the innovative, progressive and inclusive work of the Youth Service, NATC has produced a showcase DVD.

The DVD reflects the vibrancy and energy of the NATC Youth service and will be a useful tool to all Youth Work organisations, youth workers, youth leaders and volunteers.

The aim of the DVD is to promote an inclusive approach to working with young people from the Travelling Community, and to increase awareness of the work being done by NATC Youth Services.

We started work on the DVD in December 2007, travelling around to the various projects, capturing the diversity of the programmes happening in each location. More often than not the energy of the young people themselves drove the project, I don't think we came across any camera shyness, everyone was more than enthusiastic about getting involved.
