@ArachCobra I agree. Pacing is important, or else you would just become fatigued from all the stress. :)

I think part of what makes Amnesia so scary is the fact that they give you these nice, well lit, calm areas once in a while. That makes one relax(As much as anyone can relax when playing this game) which makes getting scared easier. Especially because of the juxtaposition of the nice areas and the, well, not so nice areas.
