When Hughes became abbot of Anraku-ji in Osaka he didn't know much of anything about Zen except the formalism he had learned at the Rinzai training monastery which is run like a bootcamp. It was basically for sons who are going to inherent their father's temple. After Hughes graduated, I sent him an extensive reading list on Zen. He told me that what he had learned was how to pretend being the Buddha for an hour.

@fizetr Hinduism Goddess taught Gautama Buddha how to attain enlightenment, I don't remember her name. The goddess represent musical and wisdom. She is considered bodhisattva in Buddhism. Her rank is same as buddha amitabha.

@lihao And hinduist phylosophy, specially vaishnavism. Buddhists come from hinduists, and the hinduist phylosophy belive that Buda was the 9th avatar of Vishnu ;D
