I spent the day with some friends trying to help improve there ability to survive whatever calamity is thrown at them. They are doing great in most areas, there food supply is out of this world. They are extreme couponers and they have spent very little money to prepare. They have motivitated me to start extreme couponing.

  • Looks like a lot of processed foods, which wouldn't be my first choice for food storage. Canned food is poor nutrition. Processed foods are full of chemicals. I think I'd rather be stashing dehydrated veggies and meats than stocking up on stuff like Chocolate syrup and salad dressings. Speaking of salad dressings, what good are they if you don't have salad to use it on? Just some observations.

  • @FrethKindheart The salad dressing again has come up. All the salad dressing that was in this video is long gone. When you feed 8 it goes fast. This is regular food he eats everyday so some things are not long term food but with 8 people to feed it doesnt last long. But yes alot of processed food but Iam not going to throw any stones because I eat it to. He does has dehydrated food in his long term storage plan. Thanks for your comments and insight.

  • like the salad dressing part wtf if we get nuked no more greens right , lot of the that will expire in less than yr. lotta junk food

  • @belbro62 all of the salad dressing that is pictured is already eaten by his large family. prepping is not about the end of the world is about saving money and putting back things when its on sale or you have a coupon.

  • Can they even eat this before it turns bad? Wery nice stock. A shelter skelters dream. :-)

  • @pkbjorn35 Alot of the stuff you see are already gone. I talked to them a few weeks ago and they are going thru it. A big family and things disappear real fast.

  • @waypastprime Ramen noodles are cheap and store well, but I lived on them for close to three years during some financial difficulties. I still can't stomach them (even with salad dressing ;-).

  • Wow, now those guys are prep'd. great video !!

  • Come on people. That is more than a lot of you have. Good post #1.

  • @waypastprime ramen noodles only have about 1 year shelf life

  • Salad dressing is a good meat tenderizer, marinade, additive to a bland food for flavor (potatoes, rice etc) and has oils, and usually other fats in it... those that criticize this are sitting back on their butts eating pringles. It is a good choice, as it is eaten. Put back a 1/2 ton of dried pinto beans that no one will eat won't do you any good... you will be begging this guy to sell you a bottle of creamy italian dressing so your kids will eat the damn pinto beans! Dried Raman noodles A++

  • if you rotate what you have stocked, then the issue of salad dressing is a bit of none starter, as for processed foods its better to have that than have nothing .some folks who are prepping do so on a tight budget so orders for mountain house are out of reach .

ask your self would you rather have canned soup or no soup.

  • Being proactive is key! Do all you can folks, it's going to get much much worst! Prep for the long term!

  • you could have bought your family a nice ass ski boat for all that old food
