250と400においては過去にGSX250E KATANAとGSX400E KATANAというモデルが1980年代に存在していた。これらは燃料タンク形状とサイド・カバー形状をオリジナルのGSX1100E KATANA風にしたものであり、1990年代に発売されたオリジナルの1100S KATANAそっくりであった250KATANAと400KATANAとは全くの別物である。北米に出荷した油冷エンジン搭載車はGSX-R以外に車種のペットネームは総­てKATANAのネーミングが付いている。 ※GSX400Sカタナ、GSX250SSカタナは水冷。

Question for you Mister Watana....Since when the Kat 400 was produce in Japan ???? Here in Cdn , I've got an old gsx400 ( gs400e twin , 4 valves per cyl. ) and I'm very interested to grey import a performance bike like the Impulse or the Kat . . So , this kind of bike must be 15 years old to be legal for his entry in Canada .
