A lush tapestry of characters and personalities unites this talented young Burlesque Troupe (Slow Burn Burlesque) pushing their art form to new heights while carefully revealing the personal side of both their lives and the city they love. Hosted by a thundering emcee with the heart of a preacher (Ben Wisdom), and a Russian Mafia Band (Debauche) in relentless pursuit of their nemesis, Save Our Souls takes us on an intimate romp through the streets of a city, destroyed and rebuilt, one pastie at a time. Directed by Michael Sanchez. Run Time 72 min.

What a great group of people! I was lucky enough to interview a few members of the cast, and Executive Producer Phil Barnes. Visit my channel to watch Save Our Souls 1 and 2.

@SmokeyJoeGray They absolutely exist, and Slow Burn, as well as the other troupes, have a lot of guest stars of all races, sexual orientations, and persuasions. Speaking at least for New Orleans, and all of the nine or so troupes about town, they're all mixed, and include each other in shows. You can't look at one group and make assumptions. Aside from that, there IS a black dancer of mixed heritage that is the co-founder and co-producer of Slow Burn that often dances, and travels, performing.

So where are the African American dancers? Seems a bit odd in New Orleans to have an all white troupe like that. Isn't a huge part of New Orleans culture also African American? Looks like a bunch of suburban girls who are mad at their fathers or something.
